Welcome to the first ever online preview of what Darkworks Systems has been secretly working on at their shop. This will be the first time these projects have ever been seen on the internet and we hope you guys enjoy these spy pictures, they give you a taste of what is to come. DWS is an up and coming airsoft manufacturer/custom gunsmithing company based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. At DWS, quality is our trademark, we pride ourselves in producing high quality custom gun parts and accessories without any compromise, if we can make a product better, we will, no questions asked. Planet Airsoft is proud to be part of the research and development team of DWS and we will work in conjunction to develop and improve new airsoft technology. As of now, DWS is still working fast to get their website up as soon as possible, but until then, you can contact DWS at darkworx@shaw.ca . DWS's current focus is on AR-15's and .45's, we are slowly expanding to other guns aswell as producing our own internals.
DWS VXM249 "Banshee" Project

This is the second big custom gun project DWS is currently working on, dubbed the "VXM249 Banshee". This machine gun is based on a Top M249 Minimi Squad Automatic Weapon. We basically got this gun in a very poor and beat up condition, we had to salvage what was still working and recontruct parts that were either broken or malfunctioning. You guys should have seen this gun at the beginning! It was a crapper. The Banshee took almost 9 months of refurbishing, modifications and work to get it to what it looks like now, although the Banshee project is not fully complete, we will keep you guys up to date with its development.

DWS VXM249 Banshee Project

We thought the original Top M249 stock was flimsy and uncomfortable so we custom fitted a real steel Rock River Arms 6-Position tactical stock to it, which ultimately gave the Banshee a very tactical look with the versatility of a 6-position telescoping stock, this modification also made the the Banshee alot more compact and easier to handle which adds to the character of this machine gun.

Another signature modification of this gun is the custom barrel shroud. We weren't happy with the standard heat-shields that were currently available in the airsoft market, and we liked the mean look of the vented ports on the MG42, so we designed a custom ported barrel shroud for the Banshee became the signature characteristic of this gun. We really like this barrel shroud and it has inspired us to produce similar barrel shrouds for other guns. Last but not least, we added a scope rail to top cover so we would mount all kinds of cool optics on to the Banshee.

At the moment, the internals of the Banshee are still completely stock, but you can probably guess, that is what DWS is working on next.

DWS MK-19ii "Einhorn"

One of Darkworks' .45 project gun is the MK-19ii "Einhorn". The Einhorn is a single-stack crossbreed between a Custom Kimber .45 model and the Western Arms Vreaker12 pistol. It was created because the CEO of DWS wanted a tactical pistol like the MK23 Socom which could readily accept a suppressor and tactical light, but in a much more compact version. The end product is the MK-19ii Einhorn.

DWS MK-19ii Einhorn

As a tribute to the much covetted, and poo-pooed MK-23 SOCOM, we at DARKWORKS maticulously sifted through a compatible gun to bring forth the essence of the mighty SOCOM, yet not as big. The "Einhorn" (Unicorn in German) was developed out of the concept of the standard issued M1911 KIMBER CUSTOM SPECIAL that the US DELTA are apparently using. From this test-bed, we looked closely at styling ques lines of the MK23 SOCOM. Obviously, the gun most likey to jump to mind is a H&K USP TACTICAL of one wanted to reproduce the SOCOM-look. And that was our original plan. However, the USP would have been too RUN OF THE MILL, and the obvious NEXT in line for a SOCOM decendant.

The Custom KIMBER slide was aquired through G&G Armament and re-machined for the fit and finish of the EINHORN. There wasn't much involved in that. The real magic of this "Unicorn" comes from within. With a custom threaded barrel due to be released very shortly called a Miura Barrel, the Einhorn also has a custom 6.02mm brass-plated magnesium inner tight bore barrel. Along with that, a DE-TUNED 1911 Spring, heat-treated to improve recoil and racking the gun back. The Hammer spring as well is a detuned 1911 spring retrofitted to the Western Arms spring housing. Along with those goodies, all 6 of the WA single-stack magazine are outfitted with a modifed Guarder ULTRA FLOW VALVE, for IMMENSE velocity discharge. With a 0.25 gram BB pellet, the Einhorn on Green gas averages about 437 Feet per Second.

The Piston and Piston-hosing in the slide are changed as well. The Piston housing was CNC machined out of aircraft-grade aluminium with the CRICKET Sound system. (The Cricket sound system is a small metal tab made of steel, so that when the slide racks back, it will make the CLINK' like the real steel pistol.) As well, the Rubber gas valve in the slide is reworked to go from Rubber to Vinyl, for higher tolerance to more explosive gases, like RED GAS. The name, EINHORN (Unicorn) was chosen to represent this pistol for it's SOCOM-Style silencer, when it is attached. Like the mythical creature, the Mk-19ii is a truely unique, while retaining it's simplicity and grace. Undoubtably a purposeful and subtle addition to anyone looking for a ONE OF A KIND look in a tactical show-down. As a conclusion, the Mk-19ii "Einhorn" is a potent and very consistant, AND very accurate tactical pistol for those of you who enjoy that SPECIAL OPERATIONS AND COMMAND look to your pistols, and the clean, smooth refined lines of a 1911 classic.

DWS MK-19dx "Nelson"

Nelson Lau recently left the airsoft world to pursue his goals elsewhere, so as a tribute to a very close friend of the Darkworks Research & Development Department from the beginning, Darkworks designed the Mk-19dx (Deluxe) Edition to commemorate this pioneer in Canadian Airsoft. The Nelson was developed from Mr. Lau's own personal motto of less talk more action. To get the job done with as little glits and glam as possible. So thusly, the DX came to be.

The entire design is based on a WILSON COMBAT 1911. Everything about this pistol is built for the soul purpose of taking the fight to the opposing team and giving them Hell with a CAPITAL "H". The custom Metal Slide on the pictured model was salvaged from Mr. Lau's personal WILSON COMBAT when he was still playing airsoft. It was re-finished black and re-machined on the inside to endure ENORMOUS punisments from the recoil and just time after time uses. The original slide came to DARKWORKS in fair condition, however the slide was rather shifty in it's old lower reciever. It was re-layered at the slide-grooves for a MUCH tighter and more stable fit to its present lower-reciever as of now.

The Piston housing was brittled when it arrived, so again, DARKWORKS went to work on the housing, making it out of aircraft-grade aluminium and enforcing it with solid steel stress zones. The Imoram barrel was designed and fitted to the slide to it would be as tight as possible, yet it would glide seemlessly as the slide racks back after every shot. The entire spring and barrel-housing in the front is REAL STEEL. From DLASK 11P1 series. All of The Nelson's magazines are outfitted with the Guarder HIGH-FLOW valve system, for a highly powerful BB velocity. 85% of the internals are from DLASK's 1911 "11P1" gun. There is also a 6.03mm tight bore barrel inside the pistol as well. In closing, this gun with all of it's technical pazaaz only boils down to ONE thing... "When you need to kill every mutha fucka in the room...accept no substiutions!" This is the pistol forge out of a simple idea to get the job done with no show-boating on the side...like the man it is deticated to.

THANKS BUBBA! "No more N.A.T.O."

DWS MK-14 "Apostle"

"... your light, give me your mercy! My Redeemer, redeem me, for I am yours; the one who has come forth from you. You are my mind; bring me forth! You are my treasure house; open for me! You are my fullness; take me to you! You are (my) repose; give me the perfect thing that cannot be grasped!"

-Prayer of Paul (the) Apostle.

This "creature" was envisioned long before it was an entity. The Mk-14 was a project that was on the drawing board about a week after AIRSOFT CLUB annouced the prototype of their SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M14 (Late July 2003).

Darkworks was anxiously waiting for the ASC M14 for 7 months before we could even begin final draft and measurements of their airsoft gun. It was originally planned to directly implant or graft the Knights Armament M14 RAS unit directly onto the ASC M14, but through maticulous studies and decision making, the KAC M14 RAS was dropped due to it's sheer bulkiness and mass. It was simply impractical, a plain waste of metal on a very classical-looking weapon.

So the Darkworks' Research and Development Team was giving the green-light to REDESIGN and RE-REFINE the RAS unit offered by Knights Armament Company, and the finished result was the prototype shown, dubbed the RAZORBACK UNIT.

The R&D Team found the ASC gun to be OVERALL well constructed, yet it was still flimsy and plasticy at points, especially right unger the bolt and about 5 inches forward into the barrel. The stock was too soft and gave the STOCK PSG-1 feel to the gun, upon which is shunned severly by DARKWORKS.

The Razorback Unit was designed to bolt onto three points of the gun from the front of the stock, central barrel/bolt fixture and directly infront of the rear-site. These three key points, we found to have a great structural hold upon the entire gun. This addition of the Shroud and Rail unit considerably enforces the gun to the point of absolute rigity. It also increased the overall weight and balance of the weapon to almost 1/1 with the REAL STEEL gun.

As for internals, DARKWORKS has dropped a DWS BLUE SPRING (M120 equivalant), Guarder RED composite piston, Magnesium bushings, Systema High-Torque Gears, Bore-up cylinder, and a DARKWORKS Brass-plated Aluminium 6.02mm Tight Bore inner barrel. As for number specs, there has been nothing released on it yet, but we will keep posting as research and testing results come in. There are presently NO specifications in the performance of this machine yet, but do feel free to guess...

The call-sign "THE APOSTLE" was chosen out of many to signify a somewhat important entity upon the gun. It was mainly because of the classical-look and the wooden-stock-look of the gun which was the deciding factor.

Many in the airsoft world might feel left out by the exclusivity of the AIRSOFT CLUB's 1000 Unit limit on their M14's, and THIS WAS taken into LARGE consideration in DARKWORKS. But fear not! The RAZORBACK UNIT will be fully available with the Tokyo Marui release of their SPRINGFIELD M14, MASS PRODUCED gun. We feel that the RAZORBACK UNIT is a stylish, tactical, and option to the classic, but out-dated look of the M14.

We hope that the RAZORBACK Unit will be well recieved by the public and will motivate DARKWORKS to do further development products for the M14 line yet to come from Tokyo Marui.

DWS M4 "Lost Boy" Dark Knight

This was originally a second-hand gun wich came to the Darkworks R&D Team about a year ago as a CAR-15 with a telescopic stock. The situation of the particular gun was morbid. Everything about it was literal SHIT. From the scratched up metal SR-16 body to the cracked mechbox. It was the FIRST "Darkworks" gun even before the company was materialized.

With much diligent work, Mr. Nelson Lau brought it back to life, or at lease functional condition. About $1300 was injected into the CAR-15 to restore it to as close to it's orginal state as possible...then the FUN began.

It was tranformed into an M4 SD with a SOCOM sliencer in a free-float RAS unit from OLYMPIC ARMS CORPS for a good 4-5 months of it's life. Then, from much use, the free-float barrel was bent in combat and had to be replaced. The original Lost Boy was painted in Woodland Camouflage, but it now features the DWS "Jagermeister" camouflage painting scheme to give it that unique edge.

From there, the Lost Boy was stripped and a new DARKWORKS Magnesium bushings was installed for high-heat and high-tolerance to heat. Along with this modification, the SYSTEMA High-Speed gears were filed in a CNC machine to round off the teeth so there would be less grinding on full auto. The Gear Box shell too has been modified to take even MORE punishment from full auto. (It is a modified FASTEC Gear Box Shell)

A 6.02mm tight bore was as well installed to give this gun an accurate edge in combat.

As for specs, this gun averages about 412FPS with .25 gram BBs at about 1100RPM on full auto.
---- For those wondering, DARWORKS uses a different testing method to measure Feet Per Second. Unlike the rest of the North American Airsoft Community, Darkworks' standard of testing is with excel-type .25 Gram BBs for Pistols and Assault-rifles and SMGs. Please do not be alarmed, we just find it a more interesting way of measuring velocity.

Aside from that, the LOST BOY is a one off, unless demand for it suddenly pours in. It stand, to this day, as the single most reliable gun in the Darkworks collection, under any playing condition.

DWS "JAGERMEISTER" Paint Scheme
This paint scheme was concieved by a particular employee in Darkworks. There is nothing special about it, but we have tested a few times, and it actually works. To us at Darkworks, it not only looks good, but serves a purpose as well. To put it simply, it is a more agressive version of the Vietnam Tiger-camo scheme. Dont be fooled by the pictures, in real life, the Jagermesiter paint scheme is alot greener than it looks and works perfect in a forest environment, when sun light hits it, it becomes sand and blends perfectly with an urban desert environment.

As of now, the M4 Lost Boy and these two M700 and M24 (Tanaka) have been painted in the Jagermeister scheme. for that individualized and tactical-look. As for the 2 Sniper guns... Let's just say they're NOT stock, and the specifications ARE NOT allowed to be posted, but if you contact the Darkworks R&D Team, we might give you a glimps on how hard they hit, and what has been done to them.
