Guarder
/ STAR M14 SOPMOD AEG
The
joint project development of the M14 SOPMOD AEG between Guarder
and STAR has finally completed and this newly designed airsoft
rifle is already available from retailers in Japan and Hong
Kong. It will be interesting to see what the cooperation of
Guarder and STAR has done to this airsoft rifle. This project
is really the first of its kind in terms of two airsoft companies
cooperating together. My guess it that Guarder did the main
design and internal work while STAR manufacturered most of
the asthetic components. Whether this partnership worked well
will really depend on quality and reliability.

New
Hero Arms Parts for G&G M14 Rifle
The
G&G M14 rifle has just been released and we are already
seeing aftermarket parts being manufactured for it. Hero Arms
has taken the head start and has already released a new flash
hider, reinforced outer barrel and scope mount for the G&G
M14 rifle. The Hero Arms M14 scope mount features full Springfield
Armory trademarks and looks very authentic. WGC
Shop has these parts in stock and ready to ship, however,
the G&G M14 is out of stock in most retailers at the moment.

Marui
Sig Sauer P226 Railed Frame Released
The
highly anticipated Sig Sauer P226 Railed Frame gas blow back
pistol from Tokyo Marui has finally been released as is already
on shelves in Hong Kong, UK and Japan. It is somewhat suprising
to see that this new pistol from Marui has full Sig Sauer
markings which is very unusual for TM to do, but it definately
is a very important selling point of any replica pistol. A
Japanese website, New
Akiba , has already posted up a review on this pistol,
you can view this review here
and try to understand it using a translator.
But with my experience, those translators never give you an
accurate translation, so try your best to piece together the
relevant sections. Hopefully we'll have an english review
written up for this pistol fairly soon.

New STTI M4A1 AEG
STTI
, a Taiwanese airsoft gun manufacture specializing in spring
guns, has sent in some information regarding their newest
product, a full size fully automatic electric gun of the M4A1.
This new AEG is STTI's first attempt into the AEG market and
a neat feature is that all the parts are fully compatible
with TM parts. The STTI M4 is contructed out of metal and
ABS plastic and comes with a reinforced outer barrel to eliminate
the barrel wobble problem. Although the handguard used is
the slimmer kind and can only fir an 8.4V 1100mah mini type
battery. This rifle weighs in at 2900g, not bad at all, and
comes standard with a 300 round hi capacity magazine and a
six position stock. What is truly amazing about this new AEG,
is the price tag. It is so low its almost scary. You ready
for this? The MSRP is $80 USD only. I'm guessing by the time
it hits the retailers, it will be selling around or close
to $130-150 USD. But I think we have enuff AR variants in
the airsoft market already, TM, CA, ICS, G&P, G&G,
STTI, more to come believe me =/

First Pictures of TM Sig Sauer P226 Rail Frame at RR
The
boys at Renegade
Recon have posted up the first pictures of the Tokyo Marui
Sig Sauer P226 Rail Frame gas blow back pistol at the Osaka
Shot Show. Until now, we were just looking at protoype pictures
of the highly anticipated pistol by TM, but now we have actual
pictures of the 100% completed model. Expect the same kind
of performance and durability as the TM Beretta M9's. The
new TM Sig P226 will be released in Japan on April 14th and
should hit the Hong Kong retailers very soon after that date.

From
these pictures, it looks like the TM Sig P226 will have full
Sig Sauer trademarks which is a great plus for this highly
demanded model in the airsoft market. Although I cannot confirm
this 100%, from past experience, TM will usually not have
exact markings of the real deal but "faked" markings
which look extremely close. With TM's proven quality and affordable
price tag. The official release date is April 14th.

New
Info Released on ICS AK74M
ICS
have posted some new info regarding the soon to be released
AK47-M AEG which is set for production already. The new
ICS AK74M will be the first true AK74M variant out of the
box. The metal reciever, stock, pistol grip, magazine, handguard
and flash hider all replicate the real steel AK-74M. It
uses a modified version 3 gearbox that is very similar in
design to the ICS M4 split mechbox architecture. Users will
have the ability to get quick access to the key internal
sections, this makes replacing springs and pistons a breeze.
Fore more info check out the ICS website.
